- Our WW1 Effluent Filter helps prolong the life of any onsite septic system by filtering and retaining solids in the primary tank. Passive filtration of solids in a primary septic tank is an economic means of preventing harm to downstream components. The filter helps protect distribution boxes and drain fields that often follow the septic tank. Repairs of either can be quite costly, especially on smaller building lots. Used in residential applications where the maximum flow is less than 1,500 gpd (5.7 m³/day), the WW1 effluent filter includes a patented bypass protection sleeve to keep solids in the septic tank, even during cleaning. This feature is often referred to as a filter-within-a-filter. The deep pleated filter design offers highly effective filtering to 1/16" of an inch and keeps solids in the tank. The filter is available with a 4" sanitary tee for easy installation in new or existing septic tanks. The WW1 Effluent Filter is certified to NSF/ANSI Standard 46.
