Rotational Trainee Program

A program without a mission statement is like a puzzle without directions. The Mission Statement is simply stated as: “Provide quality, interactive training designed to increase individual and organizational productivity and enrichment. Rotational Trainee Program

Our rotational program is designed for entry level candidates interested in pursuing a career in the field of customer service, operations or management. Trainees will gain knowledge and training in 3 key areas of First Supply. Our 12-month program includes time in Warehouse Logistics, Customer Service & Sales and Kitchen, Bath & Lighting, to prepare you for entry to mid-level careers within the business upon graduation from the program. In each training area you will be challenged to develop new ideas and tools to support business and your professional growth.

Warehouse Operations - 5 months
You will learn various roles within the warehouse including receiving, order filling, returns, express counter and delivery. Overall, you will be responsible for pulling inventory from stock to package and ship for customer delivery in a safe, timely and efficient manner.

Customer Service & Sales - 5 months
Continue to develop your understanding of the technical aspects of our business. In addition, you will learn to prospect, discover customer needs, prepare and deliver solution proposals meeting client identified needs, and close a sale.

Kitchen, Bath & Lighting - 2 months
Work with the design team to assist customers in a customer-centric fashion, enter sales orders, inventory, signage, maintaining accurate and organized customer files and maintaining a high level of professionalism.

Youth Apprenticeship

First Supply’s Youth Apprentice program is designed for high school juniors or seniors that are interested in pursuing a career in the field of distribution operations and/or supply chain. The program will be a partnership with the apprentices’ school through the state Youth Apprenticeship program and will coincide with the academic calendar year. Apprentices will spend most of their time learning operations in the warehouse, with opportunities to shadow leaders in different areas of the business.
