- VB3® Enhanced Polyethylene is the newest addition to our lineup. AA Thread's VB3® Enhanced Polyethylene is a 3-layer co-extruded film. The film not only creates a barrier between corrosive soil and the pipe but is infused with an anti-microbial biocide as well as a volatile corrosion inhibitor (VCI), giving this wrap further corrosion fighting capabilities than standard wraps. It also meets or exceeds all of the ANSI, AWWA, and ASTM standards required for Polyethylene Encasements.
