- JB uses the highest level of brass consisting of 65% copper and 35% zinc which means high-tensile strength while resisting corrosion. The forging process of fittings maximize strength and eliminate cracking. Many import fittings use less quality brass with lower copper content and as a result have a much higher failure rate. Vacuum pressures of 5,000 psi can be handled depending on the size, materials, and conditions. Long dryseal pipe threads minimize leakage and provide more clearance for tightening flare nuts.
