This AAV (air admittance valve) is a simple ventilation solution that prevents the loss of water seals in traps, keeping chemical fumes from leaking back up through the drain pipe. Made of flame-retardant polypropylene (conforming to ASTM D-4101), the Chem-Vent demonstrates excellent resistance to chemicals and solvents and is capable of handling exothermic reactions up to 212 degrees Fahrenheit.
