- Smith-Blair Tapping Sleeves consist of two sections of heavy welded steel that bolt together on the pipe and seal against a concave wedge gasket around the tap opening.

- This outlet allows the user to combine valve inventory to a single valve, reduce installation time and save money
- The heavy mechanical joint flange is fixed in place to make installation easier, while reducing the chance of injuries during the tapping operation
