We Are (Still) Here For You!

11/9/2020

Katie Poehling SeymourBack in March of 2020, when the COVID-19 pandemic really started hitting our area hard, we promised to do everything we could to help you continue operating your business and serving your customers. Today we see cases climbing and the pandemic nowhere near slowing. The steps we have taken over the past seven months are more important now than ever and we will continue to stay the course. We have taken action in all of our facilities, warehouses, counters, stores, and offices to make them safer for you and safer for our teams. A few highlights of those steps include:

  • We have enhanced cleaning protocols in all facilities.
  • We have held training with employees to understand how to interact with each other and our customers.
  • We practice social distancing and wear masks. We ask that you also maintain a distance of at least 6 feet from any other person while in our facilities and wear a mask, too.
  • We will bring product to where you are comfortable – to your facility, to your loading dock, to our loading dock, or to your vehicle.
  • We invested in technology to make it easier to do business with us including click-to-chat features on our FirstSupply.com and GerhardsStore.com websites, virtual appointments in our stores, and improved phone systems so you can reach our customer service and sales departments no matter where they are working at their normal contact number.

Our counters and our stores are open and our shelves are stocked. If you prefer, call ahead for product so it is ready and we can minimize interactions. If you prefer, we have virtual appointments or private appointments for you or your homeowners available in our stores. Our e-commerce site FirstSupply.com is available 24/7 for you to check inventory and place orders.

2020 ICP Dealer Meeting – Cancellation Notice

3/16/2020

HVAC Partners of First Supply,

As I am sure you can agree, these are certainly unprecedented times. A tremendous amount of planning and organization, on both your behalf and ours, has gone into preparing for the 2020 First Supply / ICP Dealer Meeting. Through all of this, the one aspect that has remained as the most important is the safety and health of our customers, vendors and associates. Due to the continued escalation of the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, we have made the decision to cancel the 2020 First Supply / ICP Dealer Meeting, scheduled to take place March 19 – 20, 2020.

The Dealer Meeting is a very important resource we use to communicate our plans for the annual dealer program. While we are cancelling this particular meeting, we have developed a plan for our HVAC leadership to be in touch to present you with the 2020 Dealer Program, either in person or through virtual means, within the next 60 days. Our commitment to being your trusted HVAC product supplier remains strong!

Response to the Coronavirus (COVID-19)

3/9/2020

Madison, WI – Novel coronavirus (COVID-19) is something that we at First Supply, Gerhard’s Kitchen & Bath Stores and Kohler Signature Stores by First Supply are monitoring very closely. In regard to the proactive steps we are taking to ensure our team members and customers alike remain safe and healthy, we want to share our plan to address the potential impact of coronavirus within our immediate communities.

The First Supply Board of Directors and leadership team has actively reviewed our immediate risks and potential responses. We have identified key activities to allow us to continue to serve you. As we do on a daily basis, we continue to review our inventory position. We are prepared to redirect orders and deliveries should it become necessary. Additionally, our operating systems will allow our customer service teams to be fully functional from remote locations. Finally, our new website, firstsupply.com, is available to serve your needs.

While we cannot guarantee a 100% healthy workplace, there are many things that have already been implemented to help us get as close as possible. Every location in our footprint has been instructed to increase the frequency and extent of which they clean their workspace. In addition, you will see signage throughout our buildings asking everyone to follow simple processes of remembering to cover mouths while coughing/sneezing and, of course, properly washing/sanitizing hands more frequently. Finally, if a team member falls ill, we have instructed them to remain home as to not spread any type of illness.

We hope you see that we are taking every step we can to remain open and ready to provide an exceptional customer experience. Your everyday success is very important to us. For that reason, we will continue to monitor this situation and adapt as needed. Should you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to your local First Supply, Gerhard’s Kitchen & Bath Stores and Kohler Signature Stores by First Supply team.

Thank you for your continued partnership,

Joe Poehling
Chief Executive Officer
